Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in the state of California aged 55.
His passing was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The celebrated industry figure passed away following his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
